Cross Collateral Method

CoinUnited.io employs a Cross Collateral method that allows users to leverage their crypto assets, as well as other supported collateral, to open USDⓈ-Margined Contracts. This means you can borrow against one crypto asset or holdings in your account to fund positions in another. If you want more details:

Perpetual Trading: What is it?

In simple terms, Margin Trading lets you engage in derivative trades—even if you don’t have the full notional amount upfront—by depositing a certain amount of USDT or other accepted collateral. The remainder is effectively borrowed, allowing an amplification effect on your buying (or selling) power.

With leverage up to 2000x, a relatively small deposit can control a much larger position, but remember that high leverage carries higher risk—account balances can fluctuate rapidly with market movements.

Because positions are leveraged, your account’s margin level is continuously monitored. If your account equity falls below the required maintenance margin, you must either deposit more or reduce positions to avoid liquidation. You can also voluntarily close less-favorable trades rather than adding more margin.

Perpetual Contracts (Crypto)

On CoinUnited.io, crypto perpetual contracts remain open indefinitely. Traders decide how long to keep positions, contributing to a highly liquid market with easy entry and exit. Additionally, the platform references a Mark Price (based on aggregate market data) to determine fair pricing and unrealized PnL.

CFDs (Traditional Markets)

CoinUnited.io also offers CFDs (Contracts for Difference) on stocks, indices, forex, and commodities—all settled in USDT. Like our crypto perpetuals, these CFD positions do not have a fixed expiration date. Traders can hold their CFD positions as long as they meet the platform’s margin requirements. However, CFDs do not use a Mark Price mechanism; instead, unrealized PnL is based on live market quotes from top liquidity providers. This structure delivers tight spreads and a transparent pricing model for your traditional market trades.

CoinUnited.io Margin Program

The CoinUnited.io Margin Program consolidates your margin balance across different trading products, accepting over 200 cryptocurrencies as collateral. This integrated setup is ideal for those who wish to actively trade, cross-hedge, and manage risk with maximum flexibility.

Under the Margin Program, all supported assets and positions in your CoinUnited.io account count toward one joint collateral pool for equity and margin calculations. Hence, you can use your consolidated margin to open new crypto perpetual or CFD positions—including those with up to 2000x leverage—with no restrictions on specific symbols.
